Politics 101: The art of deception

I began to write about the politics of distract, just to find out I was quite the Johnny-come-lately to Glenn Beck who broadcast my point on the AIG bonus snafu, and then some.  I thought I would defer to the much more expert Beck for some very powerful commentary and information:

Can you believe we PAY for our politicians?  Heck, I could screw it up (not quite as expertly) for free.

  1. Yeah, what was I thinking? We can’t have that.

  2. That’s a slippery slope, Terrant. Asking politicians to be personally responsible for their actions would be like what we do with the general public. As we know they don’t need to be honest, pay taxes, or abide by the laws they create, that would be changing the rules they live by. They are better than us, and thus shouldn’t have to be responsible for their actions.

  3. hmmm…. maybe Dodd and Geithner should pay those AIG bonuses out of their money since they intentionally added the language to protect them. After all, the tax cheat does have some ill-gotten gains that he can part with.
